Three picks across different tradeoffs — so you don't end up with three near-clones of Efficiency Nodes.

What is Efficiency Nodes?

Efficiency Nodes bundle common multi-step operations (load checkpoint + CLIP + VAE + LoRA stack + sampler + decode) into single collapsible nodes. The result: a typical SDXL workflow that's 25 nodes in vanilla Comfy becomes 3-4. Pairs well with the XY Plot node for parameter sweeps.

Pros & cons

✓ PROS

  • Dramatically reduces visual complexity of standard workflows
  • Built-in XY Plot for comparing samplers / CFG / seeds side-by-side
  • Stable, mature, low surface for breakage

– CONS

  • Hides parameters — harder to learn Comfy fundamentals with it
  • Maintenance has slowed compared to Impact / KJ
